What it is
The lowest-gravity English bitter, brewed for pints rather than sips: gentle malt, restrained yeast fruit, and a bitterness that outlasts the body. Cask service means low carbonation and a soft mouthfeel. Getting real flavor at this alcohol is the whole trick.
Flavor
Earthy/woody and floral, with room for herbal, citrus or spice.
Grainy and caramel, with room for bready/biscuit, sweet/honey, toasty or nutty.
Clean and fruity esters.
