What it is
A dark stout whose defining trait is texture: oats give it a silky, slick mouthfeel that softens the roast without adding much sweetness. Balance sits between the dry Irish stout and the sweet stout.
Flavor
Hops stay in the background: none of their character belongs.
Chocolate and coffee/roast, with room for grainy, bready/biscuit, caramel, nutty, sweet/honey or dark fruit.
Clean, with room for fruity esters.
