What it is
A moderate-strength dark ale that leans on chocolate and light coffee rather than the sharp burnt edge of a stout. Restrained English hopping and a medium body keep it drinkable rather than imposing.
Flavor
Room for earthy/woody, floral or herbal.
Grainy, chocolate and coffee/roast, with room for bready/biscuit, toasty, caramel, dark fruit, sweet/honey or nutty.
