Description
The Žatec landrace that defines Bohemian pilsner: low alpha, low cohumulone and an oil profile with far more farnesene than any other noble hop. Use it generously and late; its aroma fades quickly in storage. The same plant is grown in Germany, Washington and Michigan — those lots are cataloged separately, because terroir moves both the alpha and the farnesene that make Žatec Saaz itself.
