What it is
A weissbier scaled up to bock strength, with intensified yeast character, dark fruit and real alcohol warmth. Pale and dark versions both exist, and either way the malt richness has to carry the strength. It should read complex and warming without ever tasting hot.
Flavor
Hops stay in the background: none of their character belongs.
Grainy, bready/biscuit, toasty and sweet/honey, with room for caramel or dark fruit.
Fruity esters, banana and clove, with room for clean.
