Refund policy
Effective 16 August 2026 · Last updated 17 August 2026
Fourteen days to change your mind about a first purchase, and fourteen days after any renewal charge. No form, no interrogation — one email is enough.
This policy applies to every purchase of a Brewmaster or Beerwright subscription. It forms part of the terms of service.
1. Your first purchase: 14 days, money back
If you buy a Brewmaster or Beerwright subscription and it is not what you wanted, ask within 14 days of the purchase and we will refund it in full. You do not need a reason. Having used the app in the meantime does not disqualify you — that is what the fourteen days are for.
2. Renewals: 14 days after the charge
Subscriptions renew automatically, and a yearly renewal can arrive when the year has got away from you. If a renewal charge was not what you intended, ask within 14 days of that charge and we will refund it and end the subscription.
You can avoid the situation entirely by cancelling before the renewal date — see below. We would rather you cancelled than paid for something you had stopped using.
3. Outside those windows
After 14 days we do not refund the current term as a matter of policy, and we do not refund unused months of a yearly plan when you cancel mid-term — cancelling leaves your access running to the end of the period you paid for. If something went genuinely wrong — a duplicate charge, a charge on an account you never used, a fault on our side that stopped you using what you paid for — email us anyway. Those get sorted out.
4. How to ask
Email hello@beerwright.com from the address on the account, or tell us which address it is, and say what you want refunded. The receipt number from Paddle helps but is not required.
We aim to reply within 3 business days and to approve or explain in the same message. An approved refund goes back through Paddle, our merchant of record, to the payment method you used. Paddle processes it from there, and how quickly it appears depends on your bank or card issuer — usually a few business days, sometimes up to ten.
5. Cancelling, which is not the same thing
Cancelling stops future charges. It does not claw back the term you are in: your paid features run to the end of the period you have already paid for, and then the account reverts to Free.
Dropping to Free never deletes anything. If you have more than 10 recipes or 5 blending sessions by then, every one of them stays readable, editable and exportable — the cap is only checked when you try to add a new one. Export of the whole workspace stays available on every plan, always.
A refunded subscription ends immediately rather than at the end of the term, since you are not paying for it any more.
6. Paddle is the merchant of record
Purchases of Beerwright are made from Paddle.com Market Limited, which sells the subscription as a reseller, takes the payment and handles sales tax and VAT. That means your receipt comes from Paddle, refunds are issued through Paddle, and Paddle's own buyer terms apply to the transaction alongside this policy. Where Paddle's terms give you a right this policy does not, you keep it. Ask us first, though — we can approve a refund faster than a dispute can resolve.
7. Your statutory rights
Nothing here reduces rights you have by law. If you are a consumer in the UK or the EU you have a statutory right to withdraw from a distance purchase within 14 days; this policy is written to match that period and to extend the same treatment to renewals and to customers everywhere else. Consumer law in your country may give you more, and it still applies.
8. Fair use of this policy
This is deliberately generous and depends on not being gamed. Repeatedly buying, refunding and re-buying, or refunding a plan while continuing to sign up under new addresses, is the kind of thing that will get a refund declined and an account closed. That is the only exception, and it is not aimed at anyone acting in good faith.
9. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the effective date at the top changes with it, and the version in force when you bought is the one that applies to that purchase. Material changes are emailed to subscribers before they take effect.
10. Contact
hello@beerwright.com. One person reads it, and refunds are not something you have to fight for here.
