About
Chris Main.
Beerwright is one person in Pittsburgh: a software engineer who started homebrewing at 21 in his college dorm room and never stopped fermenting things.
The usual path. More batches, more spreadsheets, brewing software that still did not have the malt I bought or had clunky water calculations. So I built this. I bake sourdough bread too — fermentation is not only beer — and I write the rest of it up as Chris the Fermenter.
The catalog has craft malts and all the funky yeast strains because those are the ones I actually buy. The beers I love to brew are fruited lambics (with homegrown fruit), Czech and German lagers, and saisons with heritage grains.
Questions about the studio go to hello@beerwright.com. The pictures, and the other fermentations, are on Instagram.
