Before you use it
Roughly twice the pH punch of baking soda per gram and it still carries sodium, so it overshoots easily. Use the food-grade product, not the laundry aisle version with fragrance or brighteners in it.
Description
A stronger, more soluble relative of baking soda that raises pH quickly. Useful when a small volume of alkalinity is wanted without the bulk of bicarbonate.
