Description
Refined sugar with a light hand of cane molasses stirred back in: gentle toffee and caramel, a faint rum note, and none of the liquorice weight of the dark grade. About 3 % water and nearly all of the rest ferments, so it yields near 44 points per pound. Five to ten percent adds a little color and warmth to a brown ale or a Belgian pale without leaving sweetness behind.
