Before you use it
Heat-sensitive and short-lived: prepared solutions must be kept cold and used within weeks or they lose all activity. Not vegetarian, and it works poorly on beers with high alcohol or a stubborn powdery yeast.
Description
Collagen extracted from fish swim bladders, the traditional British cask fining. It forms a loose, easily disturbed sediment that lets a cask be roused and re-settled — exactly what real ale needs.
