Description
Rye taken to a dark roast, and lower in color than barley reaches on the same treatment. Dry biscuit and liquorice rather than coffee, with rye pepper underneath, so it darkens a beer in a way that reads as spice instead of char. Fawcett print no ASBC figure for it, so the color here is converted from their EBC band.
