Description
Pale malt dried over peat smoke, moderately rather than heavily: smoky, faintly medicinal, and traditional in Scotch whisky long before brewers borrowed it. Pale and enzymatic, so smoke is the only thing it changes, and a small share of a grist is plenty. Fawcett’s ASBC tab for it prints figures that belong to other rows, so only its Lovibond band is read here.
