Description
The lightest of the Dingemans caramels, drum-roasted at low temperature so it adds body and head retention without color. Five percent visibly improves the head on a pils; Dingemans will take it to thirty in a blonde or a tripel that wants depth rather than darkness. Dingemans themselves call it Cara 20 MD: they number their caramel malts in EBC and the American trade renumbers them in Lovibond, and 20 EBC is 8 °L.
