Description
The unpeated half of the Portgordon distilling range, and the malt the peated grades are made from. Crisp specify it for the still rather than the kettle — 410 liters of alcohol per metric ton, 87 % fermentability, 93 % friability — so it is a very well modified, very pale, very fermentable base malt with the flavor deliberately left out. Neither color nor diastatic power is published; both here are class-typical.
