Description
The third Crisp crystal, where deep caramel starts turning towards dark fruit and the hue goes from amber to red. Crisp point it at best bitters, milds and porters and specifically not at stouts, where the roast has the job instead. Sold as Medium Crystal (Crystal 240) in Britain and Crystal 77L in the States, and the published band is 94-110 ASBC rather than the 77 the American name suggests.
