Description
A revived Victorian landrace barley, the variety that most nineteenth-century British beer was brewed from. Extract and enzyme are both low by modern standards, but it repays the lost points with a deep, chewy, slightly rustic malt flavor that suits historical porters and stock ales. The extract is the published figure; the diastatic power is class-typical, because Crisp publish none.
