Before you use it
This is the common homebrew form and the one most water calculators assume. It is badly hygroscopic: a jar left open turns to slush and the effective dose drifts, so keep it sealed and weigh it fresh.
Description
Adds calcium without sulfate, and chloride to round the palate out — beers taste fuller and maltier rather than drier. The standard choice for bitters, stouts and anything where hop bite should stay soft.
