Description
The standard black malt of the range, pulled from the roaster a shade short of the Extra. It brings coloring power and a smoky, aromatic roast that reads louder on the nose than most dark malts, without the scorched edge of a deeper roast. The usual choice for putting the last of the color into a porter or a schwarzbier.
