Description
The lightest malt in the roasted range: finished malt given a short, hot, dry pass through the drum so it browns without caramelizing. It reads as toast crust and warm nuts rather than roast, and a handful of percent gives a pale or amber ale the baked depth its base malt cannot reach on its own.
