Before you use it
Hydrate it in warm water and let it swell for several hours before dosing — dry powder clumps and never disperses. It makes a bulky, fluffy sediment, so expect to lose more beer to the trub than with gelatin.
Description
A swelling clay with an enormous negatively charged surface that adsorbs proteins and other positively charged haze. More common in wine and cider, but effective on protein-hazy beer and entirely vegan.
