Description
The Scottish heritage variety that Scotch whisky and Scottish ale were built on, malted pale at 2.8-4.0 EBC. Extract is a point or two below a modern variety and the enzyme is high at 215 WK; what is bought is the sweet, faintly stone-fruited wort it makes.
